Tom Hollins, Managing Partner

Flywheel Industrial Partners is led by Tom Hollins, a senior real estate investment professional with 21+ years of experience, including 18+ years as a principal investor in real estate and private equity, and 3 years in investment banking.

Mr. Hollins is responsible for over $1 billion in real estate transaction activity, including the deployment of $350+ million of fund capital across 40+ real estate investments, with capital invested on behalf of real estate private equity funds, family offices, and other institutional investors. Mr. Hollins has invested across the capital structure, including equity (GP, co-GP, JV LP), preferred equity, mezzanine, B-notes, and senior debt. 

From 2013-2021, Mr. Hollins was a Partner and led the Investment Team at Paragon Outcomes Management, a private investment firm with $1B of AUM, where Mr. Hollins launched and built the firm’s real estate platform. From 2021-2023, Mr. Hollins served as Managing Director and Co-Head of ECC Opportunity Fund at Emerald Creek Capital, focusing on opportunistic and value-add deals, primarily in the industrial sector.

From 2007-2013, Mr. Hollins was a private equity and debt investor at PineBridge Investments, with several investments in distribution and logistics companies, of which Mr. Hollins also served as a board member. Mr. Hollins began his career in investment banking at Wachovia Securities in the industrials group, with a focus on the transportation sector.

Mr. Hollins holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Emory University in Economics.

Karim Rehmat - Founder, Kent Advisory

Karim Rehmat is the Founder of Kent Advisory, a boutique multi-family office and wealth advisory firm focused on alternative investments and legacy planning. His practice builds on more than 25 years as a Chief Financial Officer and senior operating executive across private equity funds, hedge funds, and family offices. Most recently, Mr. Rehmat was Partner and Head of Operations at Centerfin Capital, a fintech firm in the wealth management space. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Paragon Outcomes Management, a private equity firm investing in real estate, real assets, and credit, where he and Flywheel's principal worked together for six years, with Mr. Rehmat overseeing the firm's finance and compliance functions alongside the principal's investment leadership. Earlier in his career, he held senior finance roles at D.B. Zwirn and HFR Asset Management. He began his career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Rehmat advises Flywheel on finance, operations, and capital formation, and is an investor in Flywheel’s recent Columbus industrial acquisition.

Jared Farmer - Founder and CEO, Farmer Development

Mr. Farmer is the Founder and CEO of Farmer Development, a Michigan-based firm that designs, builds, and expands self-storage and warehouse facilities. With 29 years in the construction industry, Mr. Farmer leads projects from pre-construction through close-out, combining developer and general-contractor perspectives across ground-up construction and facility expansions. His relationship with Flywheel's principal dates to 2015, when Farmer Development led facility expansions across the principal's four-property Columbus self-storage portfolio.

Mr. Farmer advises Flywheel on construction and capital projects, and is an investor in Flywheel’s recent Columbus industrial acquisition.

David Zakutansky - Chief Investment Officer, MS Transverse

Mr. Zakutansky is an investment executive with over 15 years of experience in principal investing across traditional and alternative asset class. He is currently the EVP and Chief Investment Officer at MS Transverse. Prior to joining MS Transverse, Mr. Zakutansky was a Partner at Paragon Outcomes. Mr. Zakutansky began his career in investment banking at BNP Paribas, and is a Certified Public Accountant (State of New York) and a CFA Charterholder.
